The short version

Tag is a crew of helpers that work in the accounts you connect. We store what we need to run that for you. We do not sell your data. Anything that leaves your accounts waits for your OK first.

If you join from the landing page

When you enter your email on trytag.app, we store that address and when you sent it. We use it to start your account or tell you when Tag is ready for you. Reply to any email from us asking to be removed and we delete the row.

If you have an account

Tag stores your account, your helpers, your threads and the messages in them, facts you asked helpers to remember, connected accounts, approval history, and usage for billing. This lives in Postgres on Supabase, with row level security so one account cannot read another's rows.

Your look preference (light or dark) is saved in your browser and in your account settings when you are signed in.

Connected accounts

When you connect Gmail, Calendar, Stripe, or another service, the access token is stored encrypted in Supabase Vault, not in ordinary tables. The server reads it only while running something for you. Disconnecting removes the token.

Helpers and model providers

Getting a helper to do work means sending the relevant part of a conversation to a language model provider. That includes thread text and content a helper reads on your behalf, such as an email or calendar event. We send the minimum needed for the job.

Errors and monitoring

We use Sentry to see crashes and failures. It gets what broke and where, not the contents of your threads.

Your choices

  • Export your data from settings.
  • Delete your account from settings. It stops working immediately, then data is permanently removed after 30 days so an accidental deletion can be undone. After that it is gone.
  • Email us any time at hello@trytag.app.

Changes

If we change what we collect or why, we update this page and the date at the top. Material changes get called out by email if you have an account.
